Château des ducs de Bretagne – Musée d’histoire de Nantes
From 17 October 2020 to 9 May 2021
This exhibition – presented for the first time in France – is dedicated to the historical figure of one of history’s greatest conquerors: Genghis Khan. From the Mongolian plains to the southernmost tip of China, from the Pacific Ocean to the limits of the Middle East, Genghis Khan and his Mongolian army would go on to build an immense empire in 13th century AD. With the presentation of a fascinating collection coming to us from the Inner Mongolia Museum (China), the exhibition looks at the extraordinary constructions and heritage of the great Mongol rulers.
