Winter travels

With the exhibition Winter travels, the MuMa is pleased to unveil four new works by Dufy, Marquet, Renoir and Guilloux which have joined the museum’s fund this year thanks to the exceptional generosity of private donors. The exhibition, which is spread over the entire ground floor of the museum, brings together some sixty works from its collections, known or less known, in a journey that plays with the chronology or the techniques used, to give free rein to sensitivity, poetry and dialogue. A stroll in collections as an invitation to travel this winter.

After the exhibition Electric Nights (presented from July 3 to November 1, 2020) and in the context of the health crisis that has upset our daily lives and working methods, the MuMa wished to reflect on a new offer, thought more in proximity and giving pride of place to its permanent collections. Winter trips can thus evolve to become a new annual meeting, a real "season" around the collections, alternating with the highlights of temporary thematic or monographic exhibitions.
